A Low Flow Skid Steer Mulcher, sit’s lower, stands taller
Limber & Strong
The Promac HSL Series standard flow skid steer & excavator mulcher is an attachment that is flexible to the needs of your job site and friendly with your existing equipment. This attachment is compatible with skid steers and mini-excavators and is well-suited to nearly any mulching work you can imagine. With CPR* (Chip Production Rotor), you get smaller and still great quantities of mulch. It is competitive with bulkier and taller rivals in maneuverability and line of sight.
The HSL Series is compatible with skid steers from 70 to 95 hp and hydraulic flow from 20 to 35 GPM (3500-4000 PSI). It makes short work of bushes or small trees (6” or less). You’ll have an impressive cutting length (60”) and an adjustable drum (17” diameter”) featuring three tooling options suitable to the varying needs of your worksite and task. The drum is driven by a bent axis with a hydraulic variable torque piston motor and is controlled by the Promac Automatic Torque Controller (ATC) for maximum power and efficiency. The innovative ATC system will help ensure maximum efficiency. Durable, replaceable parts keep repairs easy and infrequent on this well-made steel assembly.
Promac offers the perfect skid-steer mounted mulching attachment to suit every application.
Promac’s cutting-edge, blue chip attachments for skid steers are built in British Columbia, Canada, in their start-to-finish manufacturing plant and can be shipped worldwide. Promac can provide the tools to keep you productive, safe, and on schedule.

Features at a glance
The Drum
The CPR ensures you don't eat more than you can chew and regulates the discharge particle size. Easy-replaceable, hardened steel wire cutters are included in the drum. They prevent the wire from wrapping around the drum's drive shaft and damaging bearing seals. The drum's CPR holders and plates are made from high-strength steel to withstand impact and last for a long time. Produces consistent mulch in one pass while keeping production moving.
The Teeth
You can equip your drum with several options, including Promac’s patented “chipper teeth” rotatable knives (suitable for sandy environments), double carbides for rocks, and beaver teeth (adaptor required).
THE FRAME
The HSL skid steer mulcher attachment incorporates high-strength steel with full-strength welds for durability. Machined bearing plates within the boxed-in ends increase rigidity and durability, resulting in longer bearing life and lower weight. The frame is low profile and close coupled to the skid steer resulting in outstanding operator visibility and excellent maneuverability.
The Parts
AR400 high-resistance steel is incorporated into high-stress locations, fully replaceable and associated parts, ensuring convenient and infrequent maintenance. The wear liner, skid shoes (with bolt-in bolts), and rear bolt-in anvil are replaceable.
The Excavator Mount Add-on
The HSL60 can be upgraded with an excavator mount, which is ideal for an equipment rental company or user already owning a smaller excavator within their fleet. Within moments, the operator can remove the HSL from the skid steer and fix it on another excavator, with only a few minor adjustments on the hose couplers.
Versatile Tooling Options
Equip your HSL series with specialized tools suited to your job. It features a standard rotatable knife that is conveniently sharpened, reversed, or substituted. In the most demanding conditions, Promac's double carbides come highly recommended. Adapter-compatible "Beaver's teeth" extend your machine's utility into all working conditions.
Additional Safety Features
The hydraulic brake can immediately stop the drum to protect the operator, nearby workers, and the equipment.
